Four Local Residents Receive 7th Degree Blackbelt

May 23, 2013 at 01:41 pm by Bryan Barrett

Bill Taylor Bushido School of Karate had more than 200 people turn out for its Open House at the Murfreesboro studio last Saturday. You may have heard the commercials on WGNS promoting the event. We are told that Murfreesboro Mayor Tommy Bragg was on hand to present awards to individuals who have trained with the school for more than 40 years.

Several students were recognized for their achievements in the sport: one individual was promoted to a 6th degree black belt, and four students were promoted to 7th degree black belt, an achievement that is almost unheard of in authentic, Japanese-recognized martial arts systems.

Bill Taylor Bushido School of Karate also raised more than $500 for Special Kids during the Open House.
