Man Found "Passed Out" With Vehicle Still Running

A 30-year old man who was found by police passed out in his “running” vehicle on the Murfreesboro square was arrested on Friday morning. According to the arrest report Jonathan Franklin Trotta had to be awakened by officers and helped out of his car.

After the man stood up, the report says he resisted arrest. Quoting  Officer Alden, “He pushed me back and then leaned forward and grabbed my utility belt. I was able to get out of his grasp and then Officer Manor intervened.”

The report suggested the subject was too intoxicated to undergo a field sobriety test. Test or no test, he was charged with DUI, resisting arrest, simple assault, and possession of a schedule six drug. He will be in court on July 11th.
