HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A homicide investigation is ongoing following the discovery of a woman’s body on May 10, 2025, at the Gin Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) on Copper Springs Road in Henry County. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the body was located by hunters near the edge of the WMA parking lot on Saturday morning. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed the discovery and began a joint investigation with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The victim has been identified as Kristiana Shook-Livingston, a 31-year-old white female with a last known address listed as homeless in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the preliminary cause of death as homicide, prompting authorities to investigate the case as such.
Sheriff Josh Frey confirmed the homicide classification and said that both local and state investigators are working to determine the events that led to Shook-Livingston’s death. “We are actively pursuing leads and ask the public for help in this case,” Frey said.
The sheriff’s office initially reported the death on social media shortly after the discovery, assuring the public that there was no immediate threat to the community and that the incident appeared to be isolated.
