MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee State University’s much anticipated 16th Annual Alumni Summer College is just around the corner, alumni and friends of the university are encouraged to act quickly – because the registration date is fast approaching…That was MTSU’s Beth Dye, reminding listeners the deadline to register closes on Friday (May 23, 2025).
Dye, who is the assistant director of alumni engagement in the MTSU Alumni Relations Office, is helping lead the charge for this year’s exciting return to campus. The three-day program, taking place between June 25th and 27th, offers alumni a chance to re-experience campus life through a creative lens, as she explained to WGNS…The title of the theme for 2025 is: “Masterpiece in the Making: Creativity Beyond the Canvas.”
This event offers alumni a unique opportunity not only to reconnect with MTSU but also to explore their creative potential during the three-day visit…The program will allow returning alumni to take a break from their daily routines and perhaps celebrate the artist within us all.
One focus during Alumni Summer College addresses a task that sparks anxiety in many…Public speaking is a fear shared by an estimated 77% of the population, according to some surveys*. When speaking in front of others, it's vital to make a lasting impression by creating a connection—something that can be achieved through a powerful skill featured in one of the upcoming sessions… Stories have the power to bridge social gaps, inspire others, and deepen relationships within an organization or community.
In collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Behavioral and Health Sciences, this year’s curriculum includes hands-on workshops, a few art projects and engaging presentations covering topics like storytelling, acting, dance, sculpture, fashion and design, and more. Attendees will also enjoy behind-the-scenes campus tours and interactive experiences that showcase the vibrant artistic and cultural atmosphere of MTSU.
Participation is limited, and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. To register CALL 615-898-2922 or visit the alumni page at MTalumni.com.
