MT JULIET, TN — A stolen motorcycle was safely recovered and a wanted suspect taken into custody this week, thanks to advanced technology and a swift police response in Mt. Juliet. The arrest came after a patrol car’s automated license plate reader (ALPR) detected a stolen motorcycle entering Mt. Juliet from Nashville via Central Pike. The motorcycle had been reported stolen to Nashville Metro Police on May 11, 2025.

Officers quickly tracked the bike and launched a pursuit prevention plan. The suspect, a 29-year-old man from Joelton, was pulled over without incident near an ATM, where four Mt. Juliet patrol cars boxed him in. Upon investigation, police discovered the suspect was riding the stolen motorcycle while having an indefinitely suspended driver’s license. Further checks revealed he was also wanted in Rutherford County for outstanding drug charges filed by Smyrna Police.

Mt. Juliet Police praised the quick action made possible by the license plate reader system, which allowed officers to stop the suspect before a dangerous pursuit could begin.

The suspect now faces multiple charges, including vehicle theft, driving on a suspended license, and will likely be transferred to Rutherford County to face his pending drug-related charges.
