Boro Beach in Murfreesboro

Rutherford County, TN - Summer has officially arrived, and Rutherford County is making a splash! The old saying goes, “Memorial Day is the official opening of summer,” and this year is no exception. Two popular outdoor pools—Murfreesboro’s Boro Beach at SportsCom and Smyrna’s Outdoor Adventure Center (SOAC)—opened their gates on Saturday, May 24, 2025, kicking off a season of fun in the sun.

Boro Beach at SportsCom – Murfreesboro - Located in McKnight Park, an 81-acre recreational hub, Boro Beach is packed with activities for all ages. Visitors can zoom down two giant water slides, splash through the pad, conquer a climbing wall, and test their balance on a floating bridge. Plus, there’s an indoor pool for rainy days!

Open Swim Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Sunday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Admission:

  • Adults: $12
  • Youth, seniors, and military: $8
  • Children 4 and under swim free!

Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center (SOAC) – Smyrna

Smyrna’s Outdoor Adventure Center brings waterpark excitement to the north end of Rutherford County! With two water slides and plenty of space to cool off, SOAC is a great spot for families and friends to enjoy the summer season.

Open Swim Hours:

  • Monday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Sunday: Noon – 5:00 PM

Admission:

  • Adults: $7
  • Children 12 and under & seniors (55+): $5
