MORE DETAILS: MURFREESBORO, TN – The Murfreesboro Police Department has its hands full this week thanks to a pair of wildly inconspicuous alleged criminal masterminds who apparently believe that security cameras are just wall decor. The duo—described as an edgy version of Bonnie and Clyde if they had a subscription to Hot Topic—broke into multiple vehicles Monday afternoon across three scenic locations. Nothing says “professional heist” like the pickleball courts at Old Fort Park. Click PLAY to Listen to this news article:
After their alleged smash-and-grab spree, the criminal pair took a leisurely stroll through a big box retailer, presumably to reward themselves with impulse buys and, of course, free security footage. Surveillance cameras captured their Oscar-worthy exit scene, which detectives kindly shared with WGNS Radio for public amusement and attempted identification.
The male suspect reportedly wore a navy ballcap with a red “M” emblazoned across the front - - possibly standing for “Maybe I Shouldn’t Commit Crimes on Camera.” His fashion-forward look was completed with a West Coast Riders t-shirt featuring two skulls. This could be described as a “low profile” outfit with a touch of death imagery. He paired that with khaki shorts that looked like they had a close encounter with a school of piranhas. Scroll Down for a close-up look at what the male suspect was wearing after WGNS located similar shirts at various retailers, along with a look at the license plate number of the vehicle that at least two of the subjects may have left the area in.
His partner in felony, dressed in a black hoodie with the word “BEAUTIFUL” and what appeared to be a tribute to prison couture, led the way—truly embodying the spirit of ironic street fashion.
There’s more! The duo made their getaway in a silver Hyundai SUV bearing a license plate of “BFB 0638,” a plate number that was not even registered to their vehicle. After all, who needs valid registration when you’ve got vibes?
Police say the suspects are wanted for multiple charges including vehicle burglary, felony theft, credit card fraud, and vandalism—a veritable criminal buffet.
