Murfreesboro, TN -The United States Marine Corps is set to mark its historic 250th anniversary with an extraordinary public display of discipline, professionalism, and unwavering “Esprit de Corps.” On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 5 p.m., Rutherford County and the City of Murfreesboro will join the Marines in commemorating this milestone with a grand event at Civic Plaza, located at 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, TN.
This celebration will showcase the precision and dedication of the Marine Corps with performances by the United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon and The Official Color Guard of the Marine Corps, both from Marine Barracks Washington, D.C. Adding to the patriotic atmosphere, the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band from Cherry Point, N.C., will add to the patriotic musical favorites.
Attendees will witness firsthand the excellence that defines the Marine Corps, as these Marines embody a legacy that spans two and a half centuries. The evening will feature a special recognition ceremony, paying tribute to the Marine Corps’ rich history and honoring the men and women who have served with honor and valor.
