According to La Vergne Police, officers responded to the single-vehicle accident near the intersection of Bill Stewart Blvd. around 10:00 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the damaged vehicle but no driver in sight.

The impact caused significant damage to electrical infrastructure, prompting NES crews to cut power to approximately 900 residents in the Lake Forest Subdivision as emergency repairs began.

Authorities describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’6”, last seen wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt. Witnesses report he may have taken his vehicle’s license plate with him and was last spotted running east on Hollandale Road.

The La Vergne Police Department is urging community members to come forward with any information. Those who see anyone matching the description or have details that may assist the investigation should contact LPD at (615) 793-7744.

As NES crews work to restore power, authorities continue their search for the driver responsible.
