La Vergne, TN - The La Vergne Police Department continues its forward momentum under the leadership of Chief Christopher Moews (pronounced “Mays”).  marking another milestone with the official launch of the department’s Drone Team. This initiative underscores the agency’s commitment to leveraging innovative technology in service of the community.

Detective Crotts, whose expertise and dedication have been instrumental in bringing this program to life, has paved the way for this vital new asset. Congratulations are in order for Detective Nokes and FTO Cline, who have successfully met all qualifications and testing requirements to become official members of the Drone Team.

Since Chief Moews took the helm nearly two years ago on September 6, 2023, the department has undergone numerous improvements, all guided by his unwavering belief that officers and dispatchers serve the citizens of La Vergne—not the other way around. That guiding principle has driven initiatives designed to enhance community policing and reinforce trust in law enforcement.
