LA VERGNE, TN (WGNS) - Law enforcement officers in La Vergne successfully apprehended a suspect wanted for multiple felony offenses, reinforcing the city’s commitment to public safety under Police Chief Christopher Moews' (MAYES) leadership. This past Tuesday (6/3/2025) on Dreville Drive, the La Vergne Police Department responded to a request from the Murfreesboro Police Criminal Investigations Division, which had identified an individual implicated in Aggravated Assault, Discharging a Firearm Inside a Vehicle, and Vandalism.
Thanks to swift communication and the coordinated efforts of Sergeant Woodard, Sergeant Darby, FTO Maggliocco, Officer Arenas, and Officer Brewer, the suspect was located and taken into custody without incident.
Officials emphasized that the arrest highlights strong interagency cooperation between law enforcement agencies in Middle Tennessee. “Community safety is a joint effort, and we're proud to work together to protect La Vergne,” said a statement from the department.
