MANCHESTER, Tenn. (WGNS) – The annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is back, once again drawing tens of thousands of music fans to Middle Tennessee. More than 65,000 attendees are expected to converge on the 700-acre site in Manchester from Thursday, June 12 through Sunday, June 15, 2025.
As with previous years, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is preparing for the significant spike in traffic along Interstate 24 and surrounding routes. In coordination with multiple agencies—including the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Manchester Police, and Coffee County EMA—TDOT’s goal is to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure safety for both festivalgoers and through travelers.
To minimize delays, TDOT will deploy HELP trucks along I-24, activate variable message signs, and suspend construction lane closures in the area from June 10 through June 17. Exit 111 will serve as the main access point to the festival grounds, with alternate exits activated as needed to manage congestion. Emergency response plans also include temporary communication towers and low-volume use of county roads for emergency vehicles.
Drivers are encouraged to check TNSmartWay.com/Traffic for real-time updates and use caution on the roads. For roadside assistance, motorists can dial *THP (*847) from their cell phones.
