SMYRNA, Tenn. (WGNS) – Nissan’s Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant has officially begun production of the refreshed 2026 INFINITI QX60, which debuts updated styling, advanced technology features, and a bold new SPORT grade. This latest model continues the legacy of the top-selling QX60, with more than 534,000 units produced in Smyrna since its original release.
Supporting engine assembly is Nissan’s Decherd, Tenn. powertrain facility, which has supplied over 500,000 engines for the QX60 to date.
“Each QX60 that rolls off our line reflects the expertise and dedication of the Smyrna team,” said Brian Crockett, vice president of the Smyrna plant. “Their attention to quality and safety drives the excellence behind this flagship SUV.”
The QX60 remains INFINITI’s best-selling vehicle, accounting for 45% of the brand’s U.S. sales in Q1 2025. Exclusively built in Smyrna, the three-row luxury crossover continues to lead in one of the fastest-growing automotive segments nationwide.
New for 2026, the QX60 introduces a Klipsch® premium audio system with Individual Audio technology—offering personalized sound experiences—and a SPORT grade with striking dark exterior accents and refined interior touches. These additions build on the success of the QX50 SPORT trim and the 2025 QX60 Black Edition Package.
