FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Franklin Police Department is actively searching for a suspect who robbed a McDonald’s near the Cool Springs Galleria on Wednesday evening. The armed robbery occurred at the restaurant located in the 1700 block of Galleria Boulevard.
According to investigators, a heavy-set, gray-haired man entered the McDonald’s armed with a pistol and demanded cash from the register. Surveillance footage shows the suspect pointing the weapon directly at an employee behind the counter. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The suspect has been identified as 52-year-old William D. Bartholomew of Jackson, Tennessee. Witnesses and video evidence from the scene show that Bartholomew was wearing a distinctive WWE-themed smock or sheet, emblazoned with the names and images of wrestlers such as Finn Bálor, John Cena, and Roman Reigns (mistakenly reported as Roman Rollins).
After taking the cash, Bartholomew reportedly fled in a white Kia Soul, which had duct tape partially covering a Tennessee license plate. Police later confirmed the tag number as 154BPKT.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on Bartholomew’s whereabouts to contact the Franklin Police Department at (615) 794-2513. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Williamson County at (615) 794-4000. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
