Bonnaroo 2025: Full Refunds & Uncertain Future

Jun 22, 2025 at 05:51 pm by WGNS

MANCHESTER, Tenn. (WGNS) — Bonnaroo organizers have now issued full refunds following the abrupt cancellation of the 2025 festival in neighboring Manchester due to severe weather. Ticket holders will receive 100% back for all purchases, including multi-day passes, single-day tickets, parking, and camping.

Initially, refunds were set at 75%, but backlash from fans prompted a change. The revised policy now guarantees full compensation with no action required by attendees, as the refunds will be processed automatically.

As of now, no future dates have been announced for the festival. Organizers said they are not releasing any information about upcoming plans, fueling speculation about whether the iconic Tennessee event will return. This marks the third cancellation in six years for Bonnaroo, with previous disruptions in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in 2021 due to flooding.

This year’s cancellation came after the first day of festivities, when heavy rain and safety concerns forced a site evacuation and the shutdown of Centeroo. The festival grounds remained closed, and all remaining performances were called off.

Rutherford County businesses—from Murfreesboro to Smyrna—lost significant weekend income as festival patrons left early. The traffic surges that followed also strained local services and emergency response teams.

Bonnaroo, which began in 2002 and grew into one of the nation’s most beloved music festivals, faces an uncertain future. Despite no official statement confirming an end, the lack of upcoming dates and multiple years of disruption raise questions about the viability of future events.

Industry watchers now wait to see whether Bonnaroo will return in 2026 or take a longer hiatus.
