Second Motorcycle Theft in 4-Days in Murfreesboro

May 30, 2013 at 04:45 am by Bryan Barrett

A second motorcycle was stolen on Tuesday in Murfreesboro. The bike was a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja. The first bike we told you about that was stolen a couple of days ago was a 600 and this latest motorcycle was a 650. The Ninja was taken from an apartment parking lot at Westbury Farms on the New Salem Highway. It was valued at $8,000.

The previous theft we told you about was a 2008 Yamaha R6. It was stolen from Waterford Place Apartments on South Church Street. It too was valued at $8,000.

Last year, WGNS reported about 8-motorcycle thefts over a 6-month period. Those thefts appeared to have slowed, but they may be on the upswing again. As far as recovering the missing bikes, we do not have any theft recoveries to bring you up to date on.
