Rutherford County Gears Up for Fourth of July Festivities with Fireworks, Music, and Family Fun

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WGNS) – Communities across Rutherford County are preparing for a variety of festive events to celebrate Independence Day. From live music and food trucks to splash pads and fireworks, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Murfreesboro Celebration Under the Stars
The city of Murfreesboro invites residents to The Fountains on July 4 for its annual "Celebration Under the Stars." The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with live music, food vendors, a DJ, and a splash pad for families. Fireworks will cap off the night.

Smyrna Independence Day Celebration

Smyrna's celebration will take place on Thursday, July 3, at Lee Victory Recreation Park. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with live entertainment, food, and family activities. Fireworks will light up the sky after dark.

La Vergne Independence Day Celebration
In La Vergne, Veterans Memorial Park will host the city's July 4th celebration. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the Rae Radick Band takes the stage at 6 p.m. The event culminates with a fireworks display.

Murfreesboro Night Market
Held every Friday evening, the Murfreesboro Night Market, located at River Rock Baptist Church, offers local shopping and food options from 5 to 9 p.m. It’s a great way to support local businesses before enjoying nearby fireworks.
