Mon. (Aug. 4, 2025) 6-7PM The City of Murfreesboro is holding a TOWN HALL MEETING at First Presbyterian Church (210 N. Spring St., corner of Spring and College Streets). The public is encouraged to attend and hear about updates on projects that will transform the heart of this city. A movement in urban planning, known as “livability"--prioritizes mixed-use spaces, accessibility, and green infrastructure. Cities that invest in those qualities tend to foster healthier, happier communities. This Town Hall meeting gives the public a chance to ask questions and share their ideas. Rev. Dr. John Hinkle, the church's pastor, will welcome Mayor Shane McFarland, council members and City administrative staff. The meeting will be in the church's sanctuary (enter on College St.; or the handicap entrance on east side of sanctuary, adjacent to the covered auto drive through). If you have questions, phone the Murfreesboro City Hall at (615) 893-5210.
