MURFREESBORO, TN — The 4th Annual Murfreesboro Hot Chicken Festival is set to bring the heat to the Historic Downtown Square on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. This free, family-friendly event promises an afternoon of spice, flavor, and fun for all ages.

Attendees can expect a sizzling hot chicken competition where guests are invited to vote for their favorites in the People’s Choice contest. The square will also be packed with local food trucks, vendors, games, and entertainment. Whether you're a hot chicken connoisseur or just in it for the fun, there’s something for everyone.

While the downtown area will remain open to the public, local businesses and folks who are around the square may want to plan for a bustling crowd with big appetites. There will also be an increased demand for parking, requiring many visitors to park in the City Hall parking garage or on streets that are on the exterior of the local square. Organizers are even encouraging early arrival and carpooling to help ease congestion.
