SMYRNA, Tenn. — TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center has announced its 2024 HCA Healthcare Awards of Distinction recipients, honoring colleagues and volunteers for their exceptional service, compassion and commitment to patient care.
“At TriStar StoneCrest, we’re proud to recognize these individuals who live out our mission: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life,” said Lou Caputo, chief executive officer. “They’ve shown unwavering dedication to serving others and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.”
Christopher Sizemore, DO, received the Physician Frist Humanitarian Award for his leadership in global health and women’s care. Early in his career, he founded a Women’s Global Health section and established partnerships with hospitals in Africa and Haiti. He continues to support healthcare expansion in Haiti and OB-GYN residency programs in Africa.
Alison Bynum, RN, was recognized with the Employee Frist Humanitarian Award for her compassionate, patient-focused care. Her advocacy work led to her appointment by Gov. Bill Lee to the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities where she connects Tennesseans with vital services and support.
Carla Edwards was honored with the Volunteer Frist Humanitarian Award for her dedication to patients and the Smyrna community. She is an active volunteer at the local library, her church and other community organizations.
Kerri Kairdolf, RN, a clinical nurse coordinator, received the Excellence in Nursing Award for Compassionate Care. During a period of rapid growth, she enhanced the Women’s Services orientation and worked to train and support new team members.
“At TriStar StoneCrest, we believe every person can make a meaningful difference,” Caputo said. “These recipients inspire us to continue improving more lives in more ways.”
TriStar StoneCrest is part of HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers. Award recipients will be considered for HCA Healthcare’s division-level honors, with winners advancing to enterprise-level recognition at a ceremony in Nashville later this year.
