- Clothing: General apparel priced $100 or less per item—including shirts, pants, shoes, and dresses
- School & Art Supplies: Backpacks, paper, pens, crayons, and drawing pads, also $100 or less per item
- Computers: Laptops and tablets for personal use priced at $1,500 or less
What’s Not Included? Some items remain taxable, such as:
- Jewelry, handbags, and sports gear
- Printer supplies and software sold separately
- Graduation caps and gowns
Remember, on-line orders count too, if they're made online from Tennessee-based retailers—just make sure the items ship to a Tennessee address. CLICK To visit the state's website.
The Tennessee General Assembly has offered this sales tax holiday for years to support local businesses and help families prepare for the school year. Even if you’re not heading back to class, you can still take advantage of the savings. The clock is ticking—don’t miss your chance to save nearly 10% on qualifying purchases before the weekend wraps up. Midnight Sunday is your deadline... and no, you won’t turn into a frog, but you might miss out on some serious deals.
