Murfreesboro, TN - Middle Tennessee State University is spotlighting its fast-growing Physician Assistant Studies program with a public symposium on Friday, Aug. 1, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Academic Classroom Building atrium. The event will feature capstone presentations from the Class of 2025 and poster sessions from first-year students preparing for clinical rotations.
The 27-month program—15 months in the classroom and 12 in hands-on training—prepares graduates for high-demand roles in hospitals, clinics, and rural health centers across Tennessee. Physician assistants are licensed to diagnose, treat, prescribe, and perform procedures in collaboration with physicians.
With a projected 42% growth rate and strong demand in the Murfreesboro area, MTSU’s PA program is helping meet Tennessee’s healthcare needs while offering students a path to a rewarding career.
