SMYRNA, Tenn. (WGNS) – A fresh, healthy, and sustainable new grocery option is headed to Smyrna, as Sprouts Farmers Market officially announces plans to open at the upcoming Sewart’s Landing development. The highly anticipated store will be a 23,500-square-foot anchor in the new $400 million mixed-use project.
Sewart’s Landing, located on a historic 44-acre site once home to the Sewart Air Force Base, is being developed by Equitable Property Company in partnership with Chapman Capital. The project is designed as a live-work-play community and will feature a wide variety of residential, retail, medical, office, and hospitality space—including nearly 280,000 square feet of retail and two boutique hotels.
Sprouts, a national grocer known for its focus on organic and natural products, will offer a wide range of healthy grocery items, including gluten-free, regenerative, and 100% grass-fed options, as well as vitamins and responsibly sourced goods. The company is recognized for partnering with local farmers and delivering seasonal, limited-time produce that prioritizes freshness and sustainability.
“Transformational projects like Sewart’s Landing are shaping Smyrna’s future, creating jobs, and significantly enhancing our community’s quality of life,” said Smyrna Mayor Mary Esther Reed. “We welcome Sprouts Farmers Market and all our exciting new tenants, as this development continues to unfold.”
The development will also feature a lineup of popular national and local businesses, including Jonathan’s Grille, City BBQ, Keke’s Breakfast Café, Encore Nails, Wawa, Hand & Stone, and Scissors & Scotch, with more tenants to be announced soon.
Set to open in late 2026, Sprouts Farmers Market is expected to draw both local shoppers and visitors, further boosting the town’s already strong growth and economic momentum.
