Murfreesboro, TN - The Rutherford Arts Alliance is making space for artists and art lovers to gather, showcase, and shine this August and beyond. Executive Director Jeff Lysyczyn has announced that the Alliance’s August Member and Friend Mixer is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 5:30 PM. While the venue is still to be confirmed, the goal remains the same: to bring together local creatives and their supporters for an evening of connection and conversation.
Lysyczyn also issued a call to artists across Rutherford County to take advantage of Artist Row, now open every Saturday through October. Situated along Church Street in Murfreesboro’s historic downtown square, the event runs from 8:00 AM to noon and coincides with the bustling Murfreesboro Farmers Market. The pairing is intentional, offering artists a prime opportunity to share their work with a ready-made audience.
Artist Row is more than just a booth—it’s a local platform designed to elevate area talent. With a $25 fee per Saturday, participants can showcase and sell their creations as often as they like. The Alliance aims to create a rotating gallery of voices and visions, representing the county’s rich artistic diversity.
In addition to weekly pop-ups, artists are encouraged to sign up for the upcoming Oaklands Mansion Fall Arts & Crafts Show, happening Saturday, September 6, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The event promises a full day of curated arts, crafts, and community engagement in one of Murfreesboro’s most treasured historic locations.
Lysyczyn emphasized that these programs continue the Alliance’s mission to connect artists with audiences and foster a thriving cultural scene. Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, jewelry maker, or mixed-media visionary, there’s space for your work and your voice in Rutherford’s growing arts movement.
By the way, RAA is offering new scholarships to reduce barriers to student participation in the arts—AND a free membership option for K-12 arts educators in Rutherford County, TN.
