LEBANON, TN - On Monday night in nearby Lebanon, police arrested a man wanted in Nashville on multiple charges stemming from a rape investigation.

According to Lebanon Police, detectives received word from Metro Nashville Police that 46-year-old Wesley Hernandez was in their community and was wanted on two counts of rape, three counts of statutory aggravated rape, two counts of aggravated rape with a weapon, and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child. After locating Hernandez, officers moved in and placed him under arrest without incident.

On Tuesday, Hernandez was transferred from Wilson County to Nashville, where he will face charges tied to crimes that allegedly occurred in March 2020. He is scheduled to be arraigned in a Nashville courtroom on September 10, 2025, before Judge Cynthia Chappell.

Court records show this is not Hernandez’s first encounter with the law. He has faced civil litigation in Rutherford County, most recently appearing in court this past June. Last year, he was convicted in a Nashville case involving felony stalking and entered a guilty plea.

According to Tennessee Department of Correction records, Hernandez had been living in Wilson County and was required to report regularly to the Lebanon Probation and Parole Office. Probation records indicate he was still serving a probation sentence at the time of his arrest earlier this week.

Hernandez is currently being held at the Davidson County Downtown Detention Center in Nashville. His next court appearance is set for September 10, 2025, for his scheduled arraignment.
