MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) — Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred Sunday evening (Aug. 24) in the parking lot of the Kroger on S. Church Street, resulting in serious injuries to a pedestrian. The Murfreesboro Police Department reported the incident took place minutes before 6pm.

According to officials, the crash involved a vehicle striking a pedestrian, after which the driver fled the scene. The police have released an image of a woman believed to be the driver (see photo above) and are seeking the public’s help to identify her. No further details about the victim or the circumstances of the crash have been disclosed as the investigation continues. Authorities are working to determine the events leading up to the incident and locate the driver responsible.
