MURFREESBORO, TN – WGNS has learned more about a hit-and-run incident that occurred in the parking lot of Kroger on South Church Street this past Sunday (August 24, 2025).
According to Murfreesboro Police, detectives identified and arrested 44-year-old Heather Keller of Murfreesboro, who is accused of striking a pedestrian outside the grocery store.
Police report that Keller had just finished shopping when she allegedly struck a 55-year-old woman in the parking lot as she was leaving. After releasing a photo of the suspect on social media, investigators were able to identify Keller and locate her. Around 8:10 p.m. Monday, officers took her into custody.
Keller faces multiple charges, including reckless aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment with a vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, failure to render aid, failure to give immediate notice of an accident, and driving on a revoked license.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a Nashville hospital, where she remains in critical condition, according to police reports.
Keller is currently being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a $28,500 bond.
