LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WGNS) - The La Vergne Police Department is appealing to the public for dashcam footage following an armed robbery on Interstate 24 West between Sam Ridley Parkway and Waldron Road on August 26, 2025, between 10:45 AM and 11:00 AM.

Detective Nokes reports that the incident involved suspects driving a black Toyota sedan with a black license plate. The suspects allegedly brake-checked a victim in a black Chevrolet Camaro and threw eggs onto the victim’s windshield to obscure their vision, forcing them to pull over to the right shoulder. Two Black males, wearing masks and gloves and armed with pistols, then exited the sedan, robbed the victim at gunpoint, and fled westbound on I-24 toward Nashville.

Authorities are urging anyone with dashcam footage or information to contact the La Vergne Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau at 615-287-8667 or Rutherford County Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP (7867).
