MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — An event that’s ripe for the picking returns this weekend at the Lane Agri Park. Families across Rutherford County are invited to enjoy the annual grape-picking day this Saturday, September 6, from 8 a.m. until noon. Agriculture Extension Agent Justin Stefanski explained that thousands of grapes grow on the vines each year, and the one-day event gives the public a chance to enjoy them, fresh off the vine...

The vineyard, located next to the Agriculture Extension office on John R. Rice Boulevard, will be open to grape lovers of all ages. Stefanski noted that the wait each year - is well worth it...

Organizers encourage residents to arrive early, as the event will continue only as long as grapes remain on the vines... This free community tradition has become a staple for many families in Murfreesboro, combining local agriculture with a fun outdoor experience. You can even enjoy an old school journey on a hay ride between the ag center and the vineyard. Again, it is all free and it is this Saturday only, between 8 AM and 12 noon.
