La Vergne Home Destroyed in Sunday Night Fire

LA VERGNE, Tenn. – A home in La Vergne was destroyed by fire Sunday night after flames quickly spread through the residence.

According to La Vergne Fire & Rescue, crews arrived to find the one-story home fully engulfed in flames with heavy fire growth throughout the structure. Firefighters immediately began battling the blaze and were able to bring it under control within seven minutes of arrival.

Despite their quick response, the home was declared a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

La Vergne Fire & Rescue also released its latest call statistics, highlighting just how busy crews have been this past month. Firefighters responded to 4 structure fires, 6 grass fires, and 1 vehicle fire, along with 35 motor vehicle accidents and 238 medical calls. When inspections and hazardous materials incidents are included, the department’s total call volume reached 323 responses in just one month.

Officials noted that the department’s average response time is just 3 minutes and 51 seconds, underscoring their commitment to rapid emergency service for the La Vergne community.
