LEBANON, TN — The Wilson County Sheriff’s Department has released details on their latest “wanted subject” spotlight, and this one reads almost like a comedy script—if it weren’t so serious.
Today’s feature is 39-year-old Carlos Bernard Davis… or is he? Deputies note the age is part of the mystery, since Davis is wanted for Criminal Impersonation. Turns out even he can’t seem to keep his story straight.
But behind the humor is a long list of charges that law enforcement is taking seriously. Davis’ “résumé” of offenses includes:
-
Evading Arrest – Felony (x2)
-
Resisting
-
Assault of First Responder
-
Reckless Driving & Reckless Endangerment
-
Leaving the Scene with Property Damage
-
Driving Without a License
-
Theft of Property $2,500–$10,000
RUTHERFORD COUNTY: In 2021, it appears that Mr. Davis was also wanted in Rutherford County. According to court records, Carlos Bernard Davis was charged with possession of schedule 6 drugs, which is typically marijuana and its derivatives. He was also charged with maintaining a dwelling In this case, the warrant was created for his arrest in April of 2021, but to date, he has not been apprehended and never appeared in court to face the charges. At the time of that investigation, Davis was a resident of LaVergne, which is where those charges and the warrant were created.
As for now, he continues to elude officers and authorities caution that Davis could be anywhere in Middle Tennessee, including Rutherford County. While the case has caught attention for its strange twist and turns—someone wanted for impersonation who can’t quite keep track of his own identity—the Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that these charges are no laughing matter.
Anyone who has seen Davis or knows his whereabouts is urged to contact the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office at 615-444-1412, ext. 3 with tips or information.
