MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Murfreesboro Police are asking for the public’s help in solving a not-so-glamorous case of shoplifting at Ulta Beauty in The Avenue shopping center.

On Wednesday, August 27, two women reportedly walked into the store, browsed around, found exactly what they wanted — and then, according to police, skipped the most important step: paying. Authorities say the duo left the store with an “unknown amount” of beauty products, proving that sometimes beauty really is only skin-deep… into the security footage.

One of the suspects may have been making her own fashion statement: a white Von Dutch sweatshirt, black pants, and a black purse tucked under her arm. She also appeared to sport a gold nose ring on her right nostril.

The second suspect was spotted wearing a pink striped Hello Kitty t-shirt, with dark red or burgundy hair to match the bold choice. If Hello Kitty herself had a word, it would probably be “don’t,” but Hello Kitty herself was not present.

Detectives are now asking, “Do you recognize these women?” If so, they’d love for you to pass along the details they’re missing. Anyone with information can call Detective Gonzalez at 629-201-5638.

Police hope to make a future arrest before the suspects’ next makeover session. Perhaps you could make that happen sooner than later? Dial 629-201-5638 to help the authorities solve this alleged shoplifting case today.
