WARREN COUNTY, TN - About 35 miles northeast of the Rutherford County line, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office reports that multiple arrests tied to methamphetamine sales and possession have been made over the past two weeks, taking a sizable amount of the drug off local streets. The first case in this series centered on a Smyrna man accused of trafficking meth between Rutherford and Warren Counties over a period of several months, if not years. That case remains under investigation.
In the most recent incident, deputies arrested Terry Brian McCormick on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at a residence located at 4171 Old Smithville Road. According to the Sheriff’s Office, McCormick—already a convicted felon for prior drug crimes—was believed to be in possession of controlled substances.
A search of his residence uncovered two bags of methamphetamine, a sawed-off Remington shotgun with ammunition, and two marijuana grow tents equipped with lights and plants suspected to be marijuana. Investigators also located two mason jars containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, a black box filled with paraphernalia, and multiple additional drug-related items including pipes, a grinder, plates, and baggies.
While being transported to jail, McCormick admitted to carrying an additional baggie of methamphetamine, which deputies seized. He was booked into the Warren County Jail on multiple drug and firearm charges.
Sheriff’s officials encouraged residents with information about illegal drug activity to contact investigators at (931) 473-7863. Authorities say the department remains committed to disrupting meth distribution networks and ensuring the safety of Warren County and surrounding communities.
