Murfreesboro, TN - The Roots Rendezvous festival, presented by Uncle Dave Macon Days, is in full swing this weekend at Hop Springs Beer Park in Murfreesboro and continues through Sunday. Now in its second year at the venue, the 2025 edition carries the theme “A Coming Home,” honoring the legacy of American roots music just miles from the historic homeplace of Uncle Dave Macon himself.
Running through Sunday, the festival offers a vibrant celebration of Middle Tennessee’s musical heritage, with live performances on two stages featuring bluegrass, Americana, and old-time string music. Attendees can enjoy dance showcases, artisan vendors, and cultural exhibits—all for the cost of a single parking fee, which covers admission for everyone in the vehicle.
Saturday morning kicked off with a scenic 100-mile “Hammer Down for Habitat Poker Run,” hosted by Rutherford County’s Habitat for Humanity. Riders began their journey at the Habitat office on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and cruised through the countryside before arriving at Hop Springs to join the festivities.
The weekend’s lineup includes local nonprofits at the Community Service Fair, the ‘Boro Art Crawl, and a headline performance by The Cleverlys, blending comedy and music for a one-of-a-kind show. With its mix of tradition and fresh talent, Roots Rendezvous continues to grow as a cornerstone event for the region, drawing families, music lovers, and history buffs alike.
Festivalgoers are invited to soak in the sounds, stories, and spirit of Uncle Dave Macon Days through Sunday evening.
