Murfreesboro, TN - Middle Tennessee State University wrapped up its spirited homecoming week with a flurry of parades, alumni reunions, and back-to-back celebrations. The grand finale unfolded Saturday night at Floyd Stadium, where the Blue Raiders faced off against Marshall in a highly anticipated gridiron clash.

Mother Nature had other plans, though. Torrential rain swept across Murfreesboro forcing a 2-hour and 12-minute weather delay. Fans waited patiently, drenched but undeterred, as the storm passed.

When play finally resumed, both teams traded blows in a tightly contested battle. The scoreboard reflected a neck-and-neck race deep into the second half, with momentum swinging wildly between the Blue Raiders and the Thundering Herd.

But then, Marshall found another gear. With a late-game surge, the Herd pulled away, sealing a 42–28 victory and silencing the home crowd. Despite the loss, the Blue Raiders showcased resilience and grit, capping off a memorable week of school spirit and celebration.
