UPDATE: Tractor Trailer Uprighted After I-840 Crash Near I-65

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TN – Authorities have successfully up-righted the tractor trailer that overturned early Monday morning on Interstate 840 near the I-65 interchange. As of mid-morning, traffic has been reopened to one lane heading eastbound toward Williamson County.

The recovery operation was no small task—it reportedly took at least two large semi-trucks to bring the overturned rig back onto its wheels. Much of the trailer’s load was lost in the mishap, adding to the lengthy cleanup effort.

The wreck originally occurred just before 5:00 a.m., at mile marker 30 along I-840. While this stretch of interstate typically sees lighter traffic compared to I-24, I-40, and I-65 during the morning commute, the crash still created noticeable delays for drivers headed toward Williamson County.

Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, but the process of uprighting the vehicle and clearing debris took several hours. Commuters reported slower-than-normal travel until lanes were partially reopened.

At this time, no official details have been released about the cause of the crash or possible injuries. WGNS will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
