MURFREESBORO, TN – Linebaugh Public Library will welcome local author Shay Ketcham for a special book signing on Tuesday, October 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Ketcham will sign and sell copies of her children’s book Jeremy Cooks for the Monkeys.

The story introduces readers to Jeremy, a pink elephant who lives an ordinary life filled with cooking, dancing, and spending time with friends—except for one extraordinary secret: Jeremy has magical powers that appear when he dances. As he prepares to host his friends, Jeremy struggles to balance cooking, cleaning, and baking while keeping his powers hidden, leaving young readers to wonder whether he can manage it all.

Ketcham, a longtime teacher, drew inspiration from her students’ love of fun and imaginative stories. She created Jeremy as a character children could both enjoy and relate to, while also sparking their imagination.

The signing will take place at Linebaugh Public Library, 105 W. Vine St. in Murfreesboro. Additional Rutherford County Library System locations include Smyrna Public Library, Eagleville Bicentennial Public Library, MGL Library at Patterson Park, the Technology Engagement Center, and the Historical Research Center.
