New Vision Baptist Church Holds First Sunday Service in New Sanctuary

Jun 09, 2013 at 04:20 pm by Bryan Barrett

New Vision Baptist Church held their first Sunday Church service in their brand new sanctuary on Sunday morning (June 9, 2013).  Thousands of imperfect individuals came together to help celebrate the opening of the new structure that took one year to build.

Pastor Brady Cooper had a message that highlighted the number of non-believers in the world on Sunday.

Pastor Cooper suggested that there were over 70,000 non-believers within a 7 to 8 mile radius of the church that sits on Thompson Lane.

Looking back, 7 families helped to start New Vision Baptist Church about 25-years ago. It is interesting to note that almost 2-years ago, 1,000 families stepped forward to donate the money, time and knowledge to add a brand new sanctuary to the current structure on Thompson Lane.

New Vision is a church for all walks of life, no matter what your struggles may be. During the first service, there were over 30-inmates on hand from the Rutherford County Workhouse to celebrate the opening of the new building. Inmates from the workhouse on South Church Street make a conscious effort in asking to attend church each Sunday. They even sit on the front two rows during the service.
