BUCKSNORT, Tenn. (WGNS - A powerful explosion ripped through a military explosives manufacturing facility in Hickman County, early Friday (10/10/2025) morning, leaving several people dead and others missing. The blast occurred around 7:45 a.m. at the Accurate Energetic Systems plant, located near the Hickman–Humphreys County line. The explosion triggered multiple secondary blasts that initially prevented first responders from entering the site. Aerial views showed one of the hilltop buildings at the facility completely destroyed, with vehicles damaged or burned and debris scattered across a wide area. The force of the explosion shook buildings and rattled windows miles away, with residents in nearby communities reporting the sound and vibrations. The 1,300-acre complex includes several buildings used for manufacturing, testing, and storing explosives and other energetic materials.

Billy Graham Crisis Team
As Middle Tennessee reels from the aftermath of a devastating explosion that left at least 19 individuals unaccounted for, the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) has stepped in to offer comfort and care. Crisis-trained chaplains are walking alongside first responders and grieving families.
“The images are heartbreaking,” shared Josh Holland, international director of BG-RRT. “We’re here to support those who were working in the plant, their loved ones, and anyone affected by this tragedy. Our chaplains are trained to provide both emotional and spiritual care in moments like these.”
The team’s presence in Tennessee is part of a broader mission. BG-RRT chaplains are also ministering to flood victims in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and continuing their outreach to displaced families in Ukraine—offering hope where it’s needed most.
Locally, residents are encouraged to keep these families and responders in their prayers as recovery efforts continue.
