Murfreesboro, TN - The streets of Murfreesboro are about to sparkle with holiday cheer—and you’re invited to be part of the magic. Registration is now open for the 2025 Murfreesboro Christmas Parade, set to roll out at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 14, and parading down E. Main through downtown on the second Sunday of December.
This year’s theme, “A Sweet Christmas,” invites participants to bring their most festive, candy-colored creativity to life. Floats, walkers, and vehicles will begin at Middle Tennessee Blvd. and East Main Street, right in front of MTSU, and travel down E. Main, through the heart of the city—around the square and down West Main—ending at Walnut Street.
Sponsored by the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department, the parade is now accepting entries through the Eventeny platform, making registration and payment seamless. Here is where you go to register.
Parade Guidelines to Keep in Mind:
-
All entries must reflect the theme “A Sweet Christmas” and be fully decorated. Undecorated vehicles will not be allowed to participate.
-
Businesses may include logos, but the overall entry must focus on the holiday theme.
-
Candy may not be thrown from floats or vehicles—walkers may hand it out directly.
-
Printed literature is not allowed to be distributed during the parade.
-
Only one official Santa will appear at the end of the parade. No other Santas (costumed individuals) are permitted, though props like posters or inflatable Santas are welcome.
-
Check-in will take place at Alumni Drive, and participants should be prepared for wait times and bring extra supplies.
Let’s make this year’s parade the sweetest one yet—where every float tells a story, and every marcher brings joy to the streets of Murfreesboro.
