Cyberattack Response: La Vergne Prioritizes Community Support

La Vergne, TN - The City of La Vergne remains offline following last week’s cybersecurity breach, and while digital systems are still under assessment, city officials are implementing temporary solutions to keep essential services moving. In a statement released Tuesday (10/21/2025), city leaders confirmed that recovery efforts are actively underway. Teams are working to restore normal operations, but in the meantime, some services will resume using manual processes and paper-based procedures.

For residents needing to pay water bills or property taxes, the city is currently accepting check or money order payments via the drop box at 1500 E. Nir Shreibman Blvd. or by mail. Cash and card payments cannot be processed at this time, and the city’s online portal remains inactive. Officials have reassured the public that no late fees will be charged during the office closures, and no water accounts will be shut off.

Municipal Court operations have also been impacted. Hearings scheduled for Wednesday, October 22 have been postponed. New court dates will be mailed to those affected, and anyone with questions is encouraged to contact the court clerk directly at 615-287-8630.

Public Information Officer Donna Tracy said, “We appreciate your patience and understanding as our teams work diligently to restore normal operations.” She added that city officials remain committed to transparency and community support as they navigate this unexpected disruption.
