NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A devastating two-vehicle crash claimed the lives of four young men — including a Murfreesboro teenager — during the early morning hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025.
According to Metro Nashville Police, the fatal wreck occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Mt. View Road near Asheford Trace, a stretch that connects Murfreesboro Pike to Crossings Boulevard. Investigators believe speed played a major role in the collision, and none of the individuals involved were wearing seat belts at the time of impact.
Authorities confirmed that 17-year-old Kerlos Toma of Murfreesboro was behind the wheel of an Infiniti G37 when the vehicle crossed partially into the oncoming lane and struck a Jeep Renegade nearly head-on. The violent impact left a scene of destruction that first responders described as “catastrophic.”
Also inside the Infiniti were 19-year-olds Maximos Ibrahim and David Fakhory, along with 17-year-old Raafat Nassiff. Police reported that Ibrahim and Nassiff, both from Nashville, were pronounced dead at the scene. Toma, the Murfreesboro teen driver, and Fakhory, of Nolensville, were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where both later succumbed to their injuries.
The 24-year-old driver of the Jeep survived the crash despite not wearing a seat belt. Authorities said the driver sustained serious injuries but is expected to recover.
The Metro Nashville Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit continues to examine the incident. Early findings suggest the Infiniti’s high speed and lane deviation were key contributing factors in the collision.
As families in Rutherford, Davidson, and Williamson counties grieve the loss of these young lives, police are again reminding motorists that seat belts and safe speeds save lives — a message underscored by the tragedy on Mt. View Road.
