McMINNVILLE, TN – Just days before Halloween, law enforcement in Warren County carried out a drug raid that resulted in two arrests and the seizure of methamphetamine, other illegal drugs, cash, and drug paraphernalia. This marks about the third such arrest in recent weeks, with the most recent taking place on October 28 at a residence on Hannah Street, where McMinnville Police Detectives and Patrol Officers — assisted by Warren County Sheriff’s Office Detectives — executed a search warrant tied to an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Inside the home, officers found meth, a Schedule I substance packaged for resale, drug paraphernalia, and cash believed to be tied to illegal drug activity. Two suspects, James E. Wells, 46, and Amanda N. Workman, 39, were taken into custody. Both were charged with manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of meth, possession of a Schedule I substance for resale, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Each suspect is being held on $305,000 bond.
Four juveniles — including an infant — were also found inside the residence. The Tennessee Department of Children’s Services was contacted to ensure the children’s safety and welfare.
You may recall a previous arrest made in September, involved a suspect from Smyrna, TN. In that arrest, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, working in cooperation with the McMinnville Police Department and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, announced the apprehension of Robert “Bobby” Alexander Russell, 38, of Smyrna. Russell, a convicted felon with a prior drug conviction out of Cannon County, was believed to be one of the largest methamphetamine suppliers in Warren County and surrounding areas.
Police say the current case remains active, and additional charges are possible as the investigation continues. Officials also thanked the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, noting that cooperation between agencies continues to play a key role in drug-related enforcement efforts across the community.
