Presented by the Stones River Crafts Association, the self-guided driving tour allows art lovers to “Drive the County, Meet the Artists, and Tour the Studios.” Participants will have the opportunity to visit working artists in their studios across Rutherford County — including locations in Murfreesboro, Lascassas, Readyville, Christiana, and Bell Buckle. Guests can watch live demonstrations, learn about creative techniques, and purchase hand-made fine crafts directly from the artists themselves.
This year’s tour features six studio stops showcasing pottery, woodworking, fiber art, jewelry, painting, driftwood art, and more. Some of the artists include Judy Heim (Red Oak Pottery), Logan Hickerson (Hickerson Woodworks), Kay Currie (Blue Pony Studio), Eva Berg (Everich Farm), Martin Atwell (Bad Rabbitt Art Studio), and Michael Bush (W/Michael Bush Art), along with a variety of guest artists at each location.
Visitors can find detailed maps and studio addresses at ArtStudioTour.org, and are encouraged to follow the yellow and brown “Art Studio Tour” directional signs placed throughout the county. The tour’s sponsors include Dr. Elizabeth LaRoche, Bluegrass Dental, Prentice Alsup Heat/Air, Lascassas Eye Care, and many other community partners who help make this annual celebration possible.
Organizers describe the Art Studio Tour as a chance to “recapture your enthusiasm for local, hand-made fine craft and art in the Rutherford County area.” The event promotes not only creativity but also connection — bridging artists and the public through shared appreciation of Tennessee craftsmanship.
