MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) — County emergency crews responded Wednesday afternoon to a significant structure fire on Lytle Creek Road, a rural stretch just over a half-mile from Wilson Overall Road in southeastern Rutherford County.
The blaze produced thick, dark smoke that could be seen from nearly a mile away, prompting several 911 calls from nearby residents. Firefighters arrived to find the structure heavily involved and worked to keep the flames from spreading to surrounding property.
Rutherford County Fire & Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, and sheriff’s deputies all responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. More information will be released as the investigation continues.
