MURFREESBORO, TN - The holiday season wouldn’t feel complete without the Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual Christmas Spectacular. On Thursday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m., Belle Aire Baptist Church will open its doors to families, friends, and neighbors eager to celebrate the season with music that warms the heart and lifts the spirit.

Conducted by Terry Jolley and featuring the TPO Chorus, this concert has become a cherished tradition for Murfreesboro and beyond. From timeless carols to festive orchestral arrangements, the evening promises to capture the joy of Christmas in every note. Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students.

The Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra has been part of the region’s cultural heartbeat since 1981, when Dr. Laurence Harvin founded what was then the University Community Ensemble. Over the years, the orchestra has grown in size and reputation, performing alongside renowned artists such as Angela Cheng, Boots Randolph, and Chris Young. Today, the TPO is proud to be fully professional, financially strong, and deeply committed to its mission of enriching community life through the arts.

Beyond the concert hall, the orchestra has expanded its reach with education programs for students and performances at local landmarks including Stones River Battlefield, Cannonsburgh Village, and the Murfreesboro City Square. These efforts reflect the TPO’s values of harmony, diversity, and accessibility, ensuring that music touches lives across the community.

But at 7:00 o'clock Thursday night, December 4, all eyes will be on Belle Aire Baptist Church at 1307 N. Rutherford Blvd., where the Christmas Spectacular will once again bring neighbors together in celebration. It’s more than a concert—it’s a chance to pause, reflect, and embrace the joy of the season.
