MURFREESBORO, TN - As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TwelveStone Health Partners, Shane has built a best-in-class specialty infusion center organization that covers 4 states and 23 sites. With patient experience data including more than 1,500 5-star ratings, TwelveStone has become a model of care delivery focus on those with chronic long-term conditions.
Ambulatory infusion care has moved from a niche alternative to a central part of healthcare. A decade ago, most infusions occurred in hospital outpatient departments, and patients had no real choice. That world is behind us. Advances in specialty therapies, payer pressure for lower-cost settings, and patient demand for comfort and convenience are driving the largest migration this category has ever seen. The organizations that rise to the top will be those that build a disciplined, replicable playbook—much like the one that enabled Chick-fil-A to become the gold standard in service and operational excellence.1,2 When an ambulatory infusion center (AIC) is intentionally designed, it delivers far more than excellent clinical outcomes. It delivers strong financial performance, predictable operations, and a patient experience that feels as consistent and cared-for as any best-in-class consumer service model. In a new byline, Shane Reeves, CEO, TwelveStone Health Partners, discusses the 4 pillars of creating a successful infusion center based on the rigor and hospitality mindset that built Chick-fil-A.
Shane’s career began in 1994 when he joined the family business, a Murfreesboro-based retail pharmacy. In 1995, Reeves and Rick Sain bought Reeves-Powell Drug Store from Richard Reeves and Ron Powell and built the organization multi-million-dollar healthcare company serving the state of Tennessee with specialty pharmacy, infusion, respiratory, enteral, durable home medical equipment and MEDIpack, our prescription medication management and chronic care support program. In 2015, he and his partner sold the retail and specialty pharmacy to Entrust in 2015, forming TwelveStone Health Partners in early 2016. Today, the organization has grown into a leading specialty pharmacy and infusion center organization focused on patients with chronic conditions. Shane is also a State Senator for Tennessee's District 14, a position he won in a special election in 2018. Shane is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1990. He began Pharmacy School at the University of Tennessee Memphis and graduated in 1994. Shane is on the Board of Directors of Leadership Rutherford and the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.
Shane lives in Murfreesboro, TN with his wife, Amanda, and their three children, Will, Jack, and Emma-White. He is a deacon at North Blvd. Church of Christ.
