Mon-Fri (Dec. 31-Jan. 2, 2026) 8AM-4:30PM  Stones River Battlefield (1563 N. Thompson Ln., Murfreesboro) commemorates its 163rd Commemoration on December 31, 2025 - January 2, 2026. The event includes 163rd Anniversary Real Time Walks and a 163rd Anniversary Living History Event, which will include ranger talks, artillery demonstrations, and other activities to commemorate the battle that took place from December 31, 1862, through January 2, 1863. The battle came to a bloody end on January 2, 1863, with a final Confederate assault that was repulsed by massed Union artillery and infantry along the banks of the Stones River. There will be Union artillery demonstrations at 11 AM, 1 PM, 2 PM, & 3 PM with talks that share soldier accounts of the fighting.
