Tennessee Driver Services Introduces New Photo Posters to Celebrate First-Time Drivers

TENNESSEE — The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS), through its Driver Services Division, has launched a fun new way for Tennesseans to celebrate earning their Learner Permit or Driver License. Beginning this month, Driver Services Centers across the state will feature cut-out photo posters where new drivers can strike a pose and commemorate this important milestone.

The new posters showcase several of the most popular safety hashtags used by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) in its year-round campaigns promoting safe driving habits for teenagers and drivers of all ages. The initiative is designed to combine celebration with education, reinforcing the importance of responsible driving from the very start.

“These new posters offer a fun and engaging way to celebrate our newest drivers while emphasizing the importance of safe driving,” said TDOSHS Deputy Commissioner Les Dolente. “We want every new driver to feel proud of their accomplishment and to remember that safety behind the wheel begins on day one.”

TDOSHS is encouraging participants to share their celebratory photos on social media and tag the department using the following accounts: X @TNDeptofSafety, Facebook: Tennessee Department of Safety, and Instagram @tndeptofsafety. The department says sharing these moments helps spread the message of safe driving to families, schools, and communities statewide.
