MURFREESBORO, TN - For more than a quarter century, Greenhouse Ministries has been a lifeline for individuals and families in need, offering practical help, spiritual encouragement, and opportunities to rebuild lives. Co-founders Cliff and Jane Sharp continue to lead the nonprofit with a vision rooted in compassion and empowerment, and this holiday season they are asking the community to rally around one of their most impactful initiatives: Living University.
Living University is a unique program that provides dorm-style housing for participants while guiding them through an intensive curriculum designed to prepare them for success. Students learn how to apply for jobs, make strong first impressions, manage money, and develop the skills needed to thrive as productive citizens. Cliff Sharp often shares stories of transformation from the program on WGNS Radio, highlighting how it has helped men regain confidence and independence.
As Christmas approaches, Greenhouse Ministries is turning its attention to the students currently enrolled in Living University. Many of them do not have family nearby, and the ministry wants to ensure they feel remembered and celebrated during the season. The organization is seeking $2,500 to provide each student with a Christmas stocking filled with practical and fun items. The goal is not only to brighten their holiday but also to remind them that they are part of a caring community.
“This is about more than gifts,” Cliff Sharp explained. “It’s about showing them that they are loved, supported, and never alone.”
Greenhouse Ministries invites the public to join in this effort, whether through prayer, financial support, or spreading the word. Contributions will help create a meaningful Christmas experience for students who are working hard to change the trajectory of their lives.
